I've been busily catching up on other things, like Mica (my sparkly friend).  Mica is a mineral that is coe neutral and can be used with any type of glass.  I have two different types available, the first is mica flakes. I make these myself by firing mica rocks to high temperatures and then grinding the resulting metallic mica to different sizes of flakes.  These do need a generous bubble squeeze and must be capped. The second is commercially made mica that I have found to work well through extensive testing and trials (so you don't have to!)

Nichrome wire is excellent for fusing in glass.  This is a selection of my favorite sizes for all types of projects from jewelry to yard art.  This tutorial shares tips for fusing with nichrome as well as what size to use for which project.
