Have you wondered what's happening in your kiln during firing?  What is happening with that stinky shelf paper?  We installed a quartz top in a hot box kiln to find out, and here are the videos!  The first shows the burnout process for shelf paper, you can watch the binder burn off.  The second shows a time lapse of a small bottle slumping.  Both are fascinating.  Have a look, and enjoy your weekend!
