One of my favorite tools for checking on glass compatibility tests and annealing is a set of polarized film sheets.
These sheets are used to detect internal stress in glass. They are also quite useful for identifying unmarked tempered glass. I strongly suggest buying large pieces of polarized film rather than the tiny squares. It's much easier to look at
your whole glass piece at one time.
